I think there is nothing wrong with being house proud, and there is nothing wrong with wanting to keep nice things nice, but life happens, messes are made, and we clean up and go on.To say an accident caused by a potty training puppy is appalling is ridiculous!! Baby people make accidents, as do baby doggies......and if they brought the puppy, I am sure the house owner knew it was coming.I have recently had the loss of a dear pet, and I will tell you this, the biggest shock to me is how my husband reacted, he had complained for 12months about the straw and hay getting all over the place, so finally I moved the guinea pig hutch to another location, and the poor lil guy died in days, due to cold.....my husband was devastated, and said it put it all into perspective..he wasn't just a guinea pig, he was a life, a little spirit in a furry body, and to have been shoved away into a place it was "ok to have mess" was wrong.....we were responsible for him as we took him on....and it was up to us to provide it....if you choose a tidy house over a life and the spirit in that life...you will certainly break the spirit and it will die, then it will become just a dog, just a rabbit, or just a bird.....Twinkle is a precious spirit in a little body, learning what she has to as we all did .....I wouldn't live in a 300,000$ house if you paid me, life isn't about that..it's about who you are and what your like to the spirits you encounter while on this planet. Sorry Twinkles mom had to say this.the above post upset me. | Everyone thinks diffrently I think dogs are just dogs, and I too own a yorkie, but to me she is a dog, a pet. I take 100% care of her and make sure she is healthy but my CHILDREN and my HOME comes first. I had a yorkie in the past that would not poty train in our old house and when my first daughter was born we choose to get rid of him because we wanted her in a totally clean enviorment. I LOVE my 300,000 house, I think it is beautiful and shows how accomplished my husband is and how hard he works for his family. WHO I AM is a mother of a beautiful little girl and expecting my second daughter in 4 weeks, I pride myself on giving my child a clean healthy home free of doggie mess and hair. I do think that a potty mess by a puppy is gross, but when I choose to buy a dog for myself of course I knew accidents happen, but someone else brings there dog into my home and it messes in my house and they will be paying Stanley Steamer to come out and clean my carpet! That is why I don't allow anybody to bring there pets to my home. It has been my choice to put people before pets, that is my choice. I belive everyone has there own opinion and thats fine. I also believ in caring for your pets to the fullest, bathing them, obedience trainiong them, loving them, playing with them, and making sure they go to the vet when needed, I don't believe in putting dog outside to live and would never allow someone to hurt an animal in my presence. But I still put my family and home above them and would'nt keep an unpotty trained dog, or a dog that chewed on my house, or caused a big mess, that is just me! |
