Mitzi is allergic too and I give her 1/2 of a chlor trimeton tablet twice a day. I crush it and mix it in her food. It is o.k. with the vet. Mitzi is 9 years old and 5 1/2 lbs. Benadryl made her throw up and acting very weird. Chlor trimeton helps but doesn't affect her behaviour.
