11 lb male I don't want to make anyone upset, but I have to say that breeding an 11 lb male to ANY female is totally irresponsible. You need to read the AKC standard. This standard is what you are supposed to be trying to achieve. No matter how big your bitch is, you are putting her at risk. Just because the dog is large does not mean it will be healthy or throw healthy pups. Something was wrong in the genes somewhere for him to be 11 lbs. A friend of mine had a 12 lb one who she just had to have put to sleep at 5 years old for liver shunt (which she did not know he had until it was to late). The 11 lb male should be fixed. You can always buy AKC standard dogs if you want to breed to better the breed. I also have to say that I was totally surprised at the person that offered a pup that would be 7 lbs and a 3 1/2 pound to the lady with the 11 lb male. I am really shocked by this entire post.
