He has NO RIGHT to lay a hand on you, unless you were trying to run out of the store. And apparently you were trying to leave, but got stopped while tieing your shoe!! Good thing you didn't trip over your shoelace. Then you could have said that there was water (or something) on the floor and sue the pi$$ out of them. People try that all the time!! Good luck!!
