Stanley's had kennel cough ever since I took him home almost a month ago..I didn't know what it was at first and I took him to the vet a week and a half ago. He's been on antibiotics since then. I honestly can't tell whether or not it's getting better. It is so bad at night sometimes that I can't sleep and I just stay up to try and comfort him. Does this mean that the antibiotics aren't working? Also, when he coughs it makes this sound like he's going to spit something out but he always ends up swallowing back down. Is there any way to get him to spit it out..it's like a white gooey substance.
