I work at K-Mart. We have cameras set up all over the place. They (managers) have to view them from time to time to see what cashiers are doing, what other associates are doing, or what customers are doing. Chances are, if you were in the store where I work, they could pull the confrontation up on their security servaliance screen and see what happened. I would call the store, find out his name and get something done as soon as possible. They don't keep security tapes forever. You might have to fib a bit to find out the actual name of the guy, but don't get frustrated. Managers are people too, and they have to explain themselves the same way you and I have to. Too many complaints about the guy and somehow, they seem to start paying attention to other things he/she has done. Don't give up! He has NO RIGHT to lay a hand on you, unless you were trying to run out of the store. And apparently you were trying to leave, but got stopped while tieing your shoe!! Good thing you didn't trip over your shoelace. Then you could have said that there was water (or something) on the floor and sue the pi$$ out of them. People try that all the time!! Good luck!!
