If there is no point in arguing with them, then be supportive. Do a much as you can to be helpful and to teach the girls to be gentle with their new puppy. This is the only way you can help keep this puppy safe.
And if this new puppy thing ever wears off then tell them you will be more than happy to take this puppy into your home.
