No, if she is a "pet" and you aren't needing to wrap her coat and keep it properly, then go ahead and feel free to bathe her weekly or as often as needed.
Just remember to always take time to rinse ALL of both products out of her coat thoroughly and that's it.
Oh, and see where the perfume and dye on your shampoo bottle's ingredients are? Are they high on the list or near the end? If they're high on the list, I'd switch shampoos.
You might want to look at the Tropiclean products you can find at PetCo.

So the idea is for a frequent shampoo (or any shampoo imo) is that it should be soap free have little to no perfume or dyes.
