Black Lite Test I was wondering how that black lite test works to detect dog pee in a carpet. I have a new carpet that has already been peed on a couple of time and cleaned it up with spot shot, which I love, but I don't know that it gets the scent out so dogs can't detect it. So, I bought some stuff called Get Serious and wanted to use that...it's supposed to work wonders. The other night I had a birthday party here for my daughter and my sister's dog peed on the carpet. No one noticed it, and I was nervous about my husband seeing me clean it up, but he was busy visiting and didn't even notice me cleaning it until my dear mom said, "Connie...what are you doing there?" haha...leave it to mom...everyone's eyes turned to me with the can of spot shot and a rag in my hand.
Anyway, last night I remembered a string of black lights my son had and they were still in the basement closet, so I brought them up and plugged it in and I cannot see any spots. What am I supposed to be looking for with the black lite? Is it supposed to be a different color? I sure couldn't find anything, so I'm thinking the spot shot cleaned it good enough to where I can't see anything. I'd like to use the Get Serious on those areas, but now I can't find them. Is it supposed to be dark when you use the black lite? I tried dark and also with lights on.
Thanks for any advice! |
