Fortunately, I am a speed reader. I have always been an avid reader and can read a novel in a day. I have to make myself not start a book or I won't get anything else done.
I also dislike it when people misspell every other word. Anyone can do it once in a while or even have an error in typing but some people can't spell at all. I have worked for a school as the Transportation Director for the last 31 years and I am appalled at the way some of the teachers spell when they send me messages. No wonder so many people can't spell.
I am sorry to say I also like some of the messages where there are disagreements. Of course, you can have disagreements without being really nasty to each other. There was a thread not long ago that dealt with pit bulls. I personally do not like them as there have been too many people around here killed or injured by them. There were others who loved them and felt they had been misjudged. I think for the most part, we agreed to disagree and knew we were never going to change the others mind but still could express how we felt about the issue. |
