Oh goodness. I had a family member with a dog that did this, here is what he did by advice of his vet. You can sprinkle MSG or Meat tenderizer on their food and this gives the prospective stool a very unpleasant taste, its perfectly safe. If it doesn't work, plan B, put some Tabasco sauce on the stool that has passed and leave it. These are all negative rewarded treatments, but I promise it worked. He still had to watch her for quite awhile after she stopped consuming the stools, but he continued adding Tabasco every time for 3 months, just in case. He would leave it in place for and hour or 2, then dispose of it. Be patient, be patient! Hugs, I remember laughing when he would call after she would attempt to eat the poop , and then she'd take off running as fast as she could and carpet dive with the sides of her face down trying to rub the "hot off", then run to the water bowl, pant, then just go and look at the poo and look and look, made for the funniest story.....
