My vet recommended using a tiny puppy food...the dog doesn't take long to eat them (which is helpful in training). Find one that your pup loves and pick up a couple of sample bags to try. (my pet supply store owner gives them to us for free)

We always used puppy food for our other terrier when training her...they worked wonderful and the size was perfect. You don't want to be giving them something too large when working with them.
