You know, my husband teases me about how much time I spend on YT now! If I read every single post all the way through the entire thread, there would be no time for anything else in my life, lol!!
Like you, I am also tending to skip repetitive issues, though if I notice no one or few people have replied in a while, I will post to give info or teach a new person how to search so they can research on their own and find the answers.
I also read through long threads sometimes if I like the posters very much, or if I am certain there will be amusement for me along the way! (Rhonda & Deb's thread for example!)
To be completely honest, I read every post especially if a thread becomes "heated". I love the occasional human drama!
I love YT, and am grateful for all the information and friends it has brought to me. It's awesome! Admittedly tedious sometimes, but awesome overall!
