Default ulna

My shih tzu had a luxating ulna (Elbow would constantly pop out of the socket) and his was bad. We had surgery but there was a 50/50 chance that it wouldn't work. I did it anyhow. It didnt' take. I used a great ortho here in NY. They try to wait until they are a certain age to do it so they are sure that the growth is done. They also offered us the alternative option of a fusion. I couldn't see doing that because the leg would be set and unmovable...Hobbs recoverd fast although it didn't take. I could have saved myself a ton of money if I had just left it alone but I wanted to try. I spent almost $5500 in total.

Good luck and puppy hugs to him.
