Driving in Virginia...to get a permit...15yrs 9 months. You can get a regular license at 16 but you have to had driving lessons. They used to offer them for FREE in school, but now charge for them. Or you can do the private lessons. There's usually a waiting list at the schools so many parents opt for the private lessons. A lot of kids here wait for whatever reason.
