My breeder gave me 5 days worth of Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy. I bought a bag, and when the five days worth ran out, I opened the bag, same procedure, amount, etc. and BOOM, the worst diarrhea on earth. Pure liquid. They were 12 weeks old, and were standing up against the wall letting it go. Vet meds, and in about 3 days, were back to normal.
It can happen with the food, bad batches, I mean.
I have since swithced to Chicken Soup for Puppy Lovers' Soul, and now to Wellness, and I buy a 13 or 15 lb. bag instead of a smaller one.
Off topic - BTW, Chicken Soup is made at the same plant where that Diamond Food was made that caused all those "toxic fungus" deaths. When I heard that, I switched to Wellness.
