TxBlueJoe ...sorry - I POSTED MY experience not yours. Everything I said is true. I also know others who've bought puppies from her. Chanel came from Llovers Yorkies and my other yorkie came from a breeder in Pearland. I have only purchased ONE yorkie from Betty but that was an awful experience 4 years ago.
She and a woman (possibly her sister) named Sandy run SCAMS on people. IF one doesn't sell a puppy - the other will. BELIEVE me ...I JUST SPOKE to someone who bought a puppy just a few weeks ago. Nothing has changed....Both women were involved in this sale yet they CLAIM to not have anything to do with each other. Yeah right. They play off each other so when someone is wishy washy about buying from one ...the other steps up and says she has better puppies. It's a SCAM.
She sells puppies at 6 WEEKS old - Moms ARE shaved down and do have an outdoor 'house'. She only brings the puppies inside when showing them....You can say what you want ....but I shared My experience. After getting Chanel ...she almost died the first week... she became Very sick. OF course I called her breeder to ask why she was so sick and not eating. She told me it was STRESS. IT was NOT Stress.
After the trip in the middle of the night to the ER....I was told Chanel had Coccidia. She weighed 16 OINCES at the time so this was very scary. (remember I said she was only 6 weeks old)
I left a message for the breeder again - She NEVER returned my calls - not once. IF SHE CARED ABOUT THE PUPPIES SHE SELLS SHE WOULD HAVE RETURNED MY CALL ! I was a nervous wreck back then. This was my first small breed dog.
Chances are since MY puppy had it - there were other infected puppies. Her attitude was TERRIBLE. All Betty had to do was help educate me as I had never heard of coccidia and Chanel had it.
Was I upset with the breeder ? No - not at first...but I WAS Scared for my yorkie. I DID get upset when I realized she didn't care if Chanel lived or died. Oh yes - I was upset and still am. She could have done so much to help educate me and couldn't be bothered.
A friend has a yorkie from her who endured 2 surgeries before she turned a year old her knees were THAT bad. She doesn't give a hoot about those puppies once they leave her premises. Once that cash is handed over - she's done with you....and MOST puppies are sold way too early - 6 WEEKS. and since this is your FIRST post here....I won't ramble on anymore - we are ALL entitled to our opinions. I've done alot of research on this particular breeder and she is NOT ETHICAL AT ALL. I would never have posted about her if she was....I have other people that can back up everything I've said.
OF Course a breeder is going to be nice when they are TAKING your money - but don't expect any follow up or her to care once the puppies leave her - she doesn't care at all. She's already selling another one.
I ADORE my Chanel but I don't have any respect for her breeder and her ethics....SO. I'm happy you had a good experience - but please don't imply I am a liar - I'm NOT.
by the way - do you happen to be a friend of hers ? Anything I've said here I can back up and will be happy to supply you all with documents and vet bills AND others who have been to her place in Richmond. |
