I say go with #2.

Depending on where you live and how big your family is, you have to factor in that the insurance alone from job #2 is worth thousands a year, and then there are all the other benefits that the stability has to offer!

I had a nasty fall a couple of years ago, and this is the second time I've been out of work for extended periods of time. In both cases, I got full pay for the first 3 months and then disability from the state after that.

As an independent you wouldn't have that. Let me tell you, you never know when something that happens in a split second can change your life forever!

Good luck in whatever you decide to go with. It's nice that you have options!
