I tried to post this last night but YT was down.
Nobella - I think what you are running into is that most rescue organizations are not website programmers and it could cost them a lot of $$$ to do what you want to do. I know with companies that I work with it costs $250.00 for someone to come in and re-program their online website to change one line. In many of these organizations they have to weight the benefits of the donations to the cost of the new programming. The two organization I found where there is a memorial page is Best Friends in Utah & The Doris Day Foundation and donations can be made in the memory of a person or an animal and their name is listed. Best Friends is a wonderful organization for all animals and I heavily donate to them as they are one of the leading groups for helping all kinds of animals. The other one is the Doris Day Foundation were you can also give in someone's name - it is the second website and you can click on the online donation link.

Maybe it would just be better to have people donate to YTNR and honor Rachael with a quiet donation in this way. I really do think you have hit on a wonderful way for a rescue organization to receive donations, I just don't think they are prepared for it. This is why they have to wait and talk to their board - some things legally have to be done that way.
There are more Yorkie groups but I think you will run into the same issues. If you want to talk PM me your home phone and I will call you to see how I can help.
