Definitely get the pre-anesthesia blood work up done. I highly recommend coming home with pain meds and attempting to restrict activities for a few days following. Sissy was 6 months and just over 3 lbs when she was spayed along with having 4 teeth extracted. Her incision was only about 1 1/2" long with internal stitches only and no body stocking. Her coat is short, so I didn't have to worry about matting. The next day you wouldn't have known she had anything done!! She has gained a little more weight since then, but doesn't seem extreme. Everything will be fine, but you will be a wreck until she is back to normal. We totally understand.
