It is very exciting and choosing between a boy or girl pup is a fun part of getting a puppy. I think that like people there are general rules that may apply mostly to females/males...BUT no one really knows the puppies like the breeder. I want a girl doggie, but if the breeder says to me: Look, I know you wanted a girl...but I've got a boy that, knowing you and your personality, would be perfect for you! I would take the boy.

You know? I think there is such a thing as "soul mates" - maybe not with people, but definitely dogs! I'll tell ya, I've never had a dog that wasn't somehow "meant to be" with my me/my family. When you meet your dog...YOUR true dog, the dog you're meant to be with, you KNOW you've met your dog.

If at all possible, try to let your breeder help you make that decision once the pups are born and really start to develope personalities.

...and CONGRATUALTIONS!!! Regardless of what sex you choose...your life is about to be turned up side down by the best thing that ever happened to anyone: A DOGGIE!
