I do not go to any family members house (or any one else for that matter) that my yorkies are not welcome. All of our family live out of town and most of our friends, they all know that I bring them with me. If they can't come neither will we.
Have we ever had an accident, of course I just clean it up and keep going, no one has ever gotten mad. I do honor personal feelings about furniture and such. An accident is nothing to get upset over.
