Since this is our fourth Gift Exchange, we have had plenty of experience and have sought out all possible options and we have decided on this policy. It would be nice if everyone could trust one another, but unfortunately, that has failed this Yorkie community in the past. There is already a lot of time and effort that goes on to make each and every Gift Exchange possible, and we do not want to overwhelm the YorkieTalk staff with even more work, which would be necessary if we had any other policy.
We have a simple set of rules for a reason and these rules apply to everyone. We have conferred with many members regarding this policy and have gotten overwhelming positive feedback, especially from members who have been personally hurt by members not sending out gifts.
YorkieTalk is a free community and will continue to be a free community, but we have to have safeguards to protect our members and our community, and this is one of them. |
