Did your vet say that he can't get his rabies shot until 6 months? Both of my vets give my puppies their rabies shots as long as they are atleast 3 months old. You can take your pup outside, you just have to make sure that there are no other animals around to where they can have nose to nose contact with an animal that is infected with rabies.
