I agree that it depends on the personality of the individual dogs. When we brought Baxter home, Snickers was almost a year old and Baxter was 12 weeks. There was a very short adjustment period (maybe a day or two), then they became best buddies. I've never had a female yorkie, but my males play very rough. Don't know if a female would be too delicate for male 'play'. Good Luck!
