If he is not, you need to consider doing so before bringing a female into your home. He's a bit big for breeding anyway IMO, and it will make marking a nonexistant problem!
I agree, a male and female get along famously. But I have two females now, and they are good buddies too. I don't think sex is a factor so much as pup personality!
