In my experience, two dogs of the opposite sex usually get along better than two dogs of the same sex. You just have to make sure you get them spayed and neutered right away unless you are planning on breeding them. I use to have all female dogs and when I introduced them, it would take awhile for them to warm up to the new female dog. However, when I got a male, they hit off immediately and get along great and are close buddies.
