Wolftrap --- We had several threads on this very issue - the general consensus always is that most of us can't get out little dogs to come to us when we call them....(when they are outside).
My little guy - has only been loose a few times in the "very large area" behind my house. He has come to me several times - but this has been when he wanted to. Otherwise, he just goes merrily on his way.
I am resigned to letting my pup loose...
1) Only on rare occasions when a lot of us are outside...
2) When he is in a fenced yard, or
3) When he is on a leash.
I swear, and I've mentioned this before. You never have to teach most big dogs to come to you. They just do.... But these little dogs -- they are a challenge!
