Our two yorkies were examples last month for their vaccinations.
Maggie: Clingy, looks pitiful, hides behind me, I sit on the bench in the waiting room until my turn comes and she crawls behind me peeking out at each new dog that comes in. She looks cute with her little smokin pink bow...so people come up to see her and she cringes as if she has never seen a human being in her life ...acts as if she is regularly beaten!
Max: Shaking, hyperventilating, panting, looking faint, wimpering, acts if he is about to have a seizure, acts if he has some rare tropical disease. Dog owners back off in case it is contagious!!!!!!!
Unbelievable!
And in addition....they have a sixth sense that they are going to the vet before I get out of the driveway.
Then after the visit.....they are so pooped out that they sleep for hours....
Good grief.....I dread it everytime....often try to recruit my sweet husband...but he has seen them in action and is too embarrassed to even go there....last time he stuffed them in a carrier and did not remove them until they were in the exam room.....they threw up in the carrier
