Hi YT-ers,
I have a one year old yorkie male and a friend of mine is trying to find a home for a displaced 9 week old yorkie puppy. A mom got "guilted" into buying the puppy, has 2 other big dogs, and can't take care of the yorkie. The new puppy is also a male and he is apparently around 2 pounds right now. I have a few questions...
1.) Is it a good idea to get my dog a play "buddy"?
2.) Can I crate train the puppy (come back at noon to let him out) while I have my other dog in the house? I restrict my dog to the kitchen now using a baby gate and I have him box trained.
3.) If I am box training both, should I get separate boxes?
4.) Is there ANYTHING else I need to know before making the decision to bring a new puppy into our home (aside from having them meet)?
