I highly recommend UoP as I have had a great expereinece and the program is tailored to full time working adults who have minimal amounts of time to put fourth into going to college. It has been a lifesaver for me to be able to work full time, take care of my babies and to be able to also go to school full time. The other thing to remember when looking at UoP is that for the price you are paying, one class a week, plus team meetings, you are going to school FULL TIME not part time.
Hope this might help! |

Yes, Community Colleges are cheaper. I'll let everyone in on a little secret as to what I did while I was earning my AA. I knew that I wanted to go to SIU for my BA for the last 2 years. So I looked at the classes SIU accepts as credit from my Community College. I am taking ONLY those classes online at my Community college and having them transfer across to Southern Illinois University. I faxed all of my transcripts and it's working out fine. I am finishing all of my generals this way. I get the same credits for classes at a much cheaper price.
SIU only offers online classes for Fall/Spring so I am going to take more classes at Community Colleges during the "off season." IMO this is the cheaper way to do it than to go to a University the entire 4 years. The classes are full time, online, and I had a kid while I was in the navy working crazy shiftwork hours. The only thing you have to be careful of is that Community Colleges only give you lower level credit, so try not to go over 60 if you are going for your BA because the other 60 will have to be Upper Level.
Just make sure you have a gameplan. Talk to other people who have been to those schools. Look up the school online at ripoffreport.com and other sites. Good luck!
