Might be because your pup is 3 1/2 months old. Mine started sleeping with me when he was only 8 weeks old, and at that time, he was sleeping almost all the time anyway.

Also - I generally go to bed late - around midnight - this helps.

And still - he often wants to run around and play for a while, but not as much as your dog does - and this eventually dies down and he goes to sleep. He's good about sleeping all night. He wakes up around 7 or 8.

*** He's 9 months old now.

If, at 3 1/2 months, he is only beginning to sleep with you - he is still probably excited about being able to do this - and really thinks of it as playtime rather than time to go to sleep. I would think that after a while, he'll learn that going to bed means going to sleep.
