I have a Labrador that entered her first cycle of heat, I didn't expect it to happen so soon since she is not even a year old. Morix, my yorkie was ok with that during the bleeding part of the cyle but now, he is going insane! The vet told me to separate the dogs (Labrador in the garage, and Morix inside the house), clean very well all surfaces inside the house so he cannot smell her anymore, and give Morix Benadryl every 8 hs to calm him down. But still, the big problem is that he refuses to eat, unless I force him to by sticking the food inside his mouth.

I am really worried cause he was hospitalized two weeks ago for vomiting and diarrhea and I know that when he does not eat he gets sick really fast. he has been on Hills i/d prescription diet for 2 weeks, just getting ready to start the regular food.

The worst part is that this could go on for at least two more weeks...

ANY ADVICE ON THIS MATTER WILL BE REALLY, REALLY APPRECIATED!
