my yorkies tail was already docked when we got him I prefer dogs with their tails left alone. my mastiff only has 3/4 tail but thier tails NEED to be docked if not it puts pressure on thier spine and as they get bigger it can cause hairline fractures in the spine. most dogs with long hair tho I think tails are docked for hygenic reasons.
