I'm so sorry! You know the Dog Whisperer says that dogs pick up on our energy and act accordingly. I know she is grieving herself - but she is also picking up on your grief. I'm not sure what you can do to change your energy, but I think it might help. Maybe someone will have some suggestions.
Have you tried her favorite foods or a special treat? Can you take her for a walk or outside - to break the sadness in the house?
A new puppy will certainly give her something else to think about!!!
