I think from my reading that you are right-there are two fear stages,but a little later than you mentioned--at 12-14 weeks and then later at 16-18 weeks.So your pup could be in the second,especially if he displayed fearfulness before. The experience with the other dog you mentioned won't have helped either. I can understand you being tense,but he will pick up on that. Try to be calmly reassuring without making a big thing of it and he should settle down again.We had a similar problem with traffic,but she has got over it now.Good luck.
