I think I got a good combination. My little Yorkie - is a real "submissive-at-first" and somewhat "shy" little guy. BUT - he never hesitates to run up and meet anyone (a person or another dog). For instance, his favorite thing in the world is little children. But when he meets one for the first time - without any hesitation, he'll run up to meet them crawling on his tummy and will immediately turn over onto his back with a lot of kissing and wiggling along the way - aftrer they have petted him for a second, they are off playing their hearts out.
I haven't notice much difference in his behavior since I first got him -- no stages that appear different, etc.... he is 8 months now.
