Star Receiving blankets are a "must" for new pups. ;)

I'd go to WalMart or some store similar and buy a few "receiving" baby blankets! They're soft and have some REALLY CUTE patterns and are cheap. So if he messes them you can opt to wash them or simply throw them away.
Once he's home I'd get an oversized bed for him, my experience is that Yorkies like to root around and check out all the little crevesis of the oversized bedding and have a ball doing so! And THEN you can get real fancy, one you know he likes his bedding and get some real posh blankets for him to lounge on.
