I obtained VPI Insurance for my Yorkie when he was 6 months old, on the advice of friends. He is now 13 months old and every claim that I have submitted has been reimbursed partially or fully. No problem (so far).
I would recommend if anyone is thinking about pet insurance to do so while your baby is still young. Premiums not only increase the older the dog is but also "pre-exisiting" waivers will cut in to the amount of reimburseable coverage.
