We have something similar here in Alberta except they aren't seeds. I think they're actually the sticky casings off the new leaves. Anyway the only thing I found that helped was to keep the hair between their pads shaved really short. I always had it done first thing in the spring so there wasn't much for the stickies to stick too. One other thing that might work (I've used it for chewing gum) is peanut butter. Just rub it in real good and it should help get the sap out. Of course then you have to wash out the peanut butter, hehe. Hope something helps.
