I don't know - we have the same issue with the blue spruce in Colorado when we go up in late May, early June. Last year (first year for Rowdy), we had to go to walmart and get clippers and take the hair off his legs to be able to deal with the sticky things. We keep him in a puppy cut year round, so this year we will get him cut extra short to minimize the trauma of the sticky things - but I know that we will be pulling some of them out. I know that soap and water helped but did not completely get them out without pulling. It's awful! If anyone has any suggestions, I love to hear them.
