Just give it sometime . . he'll soon realize this is going to be routine for him.
I crate my Tiger during the day as well but don't recall having any barking problems. He stays in his crate for 7 hours and then I come home to play with him and walk him for an hour. He goes back to his crate while I go back to work . . . then come home after a couple of hours. During my absence, my TV is on channel Nichelodian
He has been soooo good and not once soiled his crate . . . . I have been doing those for about over 3 months and works well for me. Because he is confined pretty much throughout the day, I make sure he roams freely while I am home. Just for my peace of mind, he wears a belly band while he rompers all over my living/dining/kitchen area . . .trying to find what he can chew on
. . and voila, he sees my plant and goes for it . . . I am still working on that problem.
