mymason, the best way to deal with anger is to do exactly what you did. Step back, try to calm down, and redirect the adrenaline. You didn't let yourself take it out on your little guy. Instead you finished getting ready for work and left. That's the best way to cool down. This doesn't mean you shouldn't correct the puppy when he's done something like that but a stern "NO!" will usually do the trick. Everyone knows how frustrating it is to get these little guys past this puppy stage. But, you're right, their cuteness always wins us over in the end. I think that's why God made puppies so cute, cause they can be so infuriating!! LOL! Never, never take it out on your baby. That will only make you feel worse cause then you also have to deal with the guilt. Hope this helps!
