OK ... you are both obviously young ... so this is probably waaaay too old fashioned!!
I too have a husband who has absolutely everything he wants ... we actually rarely exchange gifts ... just time alone is a treat for us! He does, however, sometimes recall fond memories of his childhood and how much better everything was then ....... sooooooooooooo ..... I found, after much searching, a vintage Lionel train, identical to his first train when he was 6 years old!!! I have never, ever seen a man so excited that tears welled up in his eyes!!!
He was ripping the wrapping paper off and saying .... "A train, a train ... it's a train!!!!"
Then I got to constantly hear the whistle and "come see" the little trail of smoke coming out .... gotta admit, it was kinda neat!
Another time ..... I hired a "Girl Gorilla" who come to our office with ballons, flowers, etc.!!!! We had a great party and
ALL the office friends got a kick out of "Georgette of the Jungle"!!! It was unusual and created a memory he will always have!!!
