Default I thought dogs were supposed to be scared of snakes...

My boy Scout is full of surprises! I take both my yorkies to a little cemetery that is just around the corner from our house, there's a fenced area that I can let them off leash and they can run around and sniff the bushes and explore, etc. Scout came around a bush with a little green snake in his mouth and I about freaked out. Of course I run at him like a crazed person screaming something like, "that's a snake, put it down". He dropped it and looked at me with puzzlement. I think he thought it was a toy! Every dog I have ever seen go crazy when they see a snake. I just hope he doesn't go around picking up snakes as a habit...I don't know what I would do!! That's a terrier for you, I guess. By the way, he didn't kill it...he must have gently picked it up (I don't know how you gently pick up a snake with your teeth, I'm still trying to figure that one out)..it slithered off as fast as it could when he dropped it!
