My suggestion is the same as everyone else . . confine him so you won't come home to a wrecked house. My Tiger loves to chew on my indoor plants including dirt, moldings and anything that fancies his desire. . . .so I crate him for 7 hours and then come home release him and take him for a walk (now that is is warmer) so he can relieve himself. He has been pretty good since I started crating him at 3 months and this schedule seem to work for me and Tiger as he is so used to it . . . but when I come home, I made sure he has free run of my house (well the living room, dining room and kitchen) but just in case he decides to tinkle away as he becomes super active running everywhere like a rat, he wears a belly band
