i pretty much agree with what everyone has said. I don't think you should give Zoe full run of the house. Instead, use the gate to confine him in one room that you consider safe for him to be in. I leave Nikko alone everyday of the week for about 8 hours (believe me it breaks my heart!!

) and I gate him in the kitchen. He is still not fully potty trained so I leave a wee wee pad, food, water, toys and a bed. I choose the kitchen because there are no electrical wires that he can chew on and the floor is easy to clean for accidents. He is used to this and doesn't fuss in the morning when I lock him in. It gives me peace of mind and it keeps him safe from potential accidents.
