I guess I wouldn't give him the run of the house while I was gone, they can chew on walls, door frames, furniture, carpet etc. I'd set up an x pen where there is nothing to chew on, like in the center of the kitchen, put in his bed, food, some toys and a pee pad. Leaving a radio or TV on might be nice too or maybe some easy listening music to keep him calm.
Many dogs do not eat when they are alone, so that might be a concern. If he doesn't, you might want to put some karo in his water. Otherwise he should be fine. |
