I think you're doing the opposite of what many of us do.

My little guy is confined to the kitchen/laundry room area - and definitely does not get run of the house when I'm gone. There is nothing he can get to in the kitchen that would hurt him - and he has everything he needs. Plus the vinyl kitchen floor is a "quick clean" for any accidents he might have.

I know we hate to leave our dogs home alone for so long - but, a lot of us - (all over America with a hundred different breeds) have the same problem. We have no choice. We couldn't afford dog food if we didn't work!
