Thank god that you heard him! I am glad that he is feeling better. At least you got an appointment, I have called the doctor's before over here and they have told me to just take him to an emergency room because there are no appointments for three days.
What is hard is that you never know what triggers these attacks. It could be the weather changes, smoke, or a number of other factors. That must have been so scarey for you. I hope that he gets over his fever soon. My little boy turns 4 at the end of the month, I know what you mean about these little guys.
